Contributions

Temple members provide the financial support necessary to maintain our Congregation through payment of annual dues. Dues however, do not cover all of our financial obligations in order to provide services, programs and activities as well as to maintain our building we provide to our members.

We welcome your contributions and donations to Temple Shalom. Your generous acts of Tzedakah help to make a difference.

Donations to Temple Shalom can be made in honor of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, wedding or other special celebration such as a new baby, school graduation or other special occasion in honor of a family member or friend.

Contributions are also a very appropriate way to memorialize a loved one or observe a Yahrzeit.

All contributors are thanked and acknowledgements sent to the appropriate parties.

Donations can be made to the General Fund of the Temple or to one of the special funds noted below:

Building Fund - Maintenance of the Temple building and grounds
Cemetery Fund - Maintenance and general expenses of the Sons of Israel Cemetery
David and Paulette Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance - Operating and general expenses associated with the center's educational programming and speakers
General Fund - Operating and other expenses as needed for the Temple's general operation
Hashanim Hashavot(Senior Program) - Operating and general expenses
Hazzan's Discretionary Fund - Assistance to members of the Jewish community or others and non-budgeted expenses as deemed appropriate by the Hazzan
Jo'Ann & David Superstein Trust for Education - provides non-budgeted funds for the purchase of computer hardware and software, lesson programs and other materials for Temple Shalom's Religious School
Library Fund - Maintenance and general expense of the Temple Shalom Library
Men's Club General Fund - Operating and general expenses associated with Men's Club programs
Mikvah Fund - Operation and Maintenance of the TEmple Mikvah
Prayer Book Fund - Purchase of new and/or replacement prayer books and chumashim
Pre-School Fund - General operating expenses of the Temple Shalom Pre-School
Pre-School Scholarship Fund - Scholarships for children to use toward Temple Shalom Pre-School
Rabbi's Discretionary Fund - Assistance to members of the Jewish community or others and non-budgeted expenses as deemed appropriate by the Rabbi
Religious School Director's Fund - for non-budgeted Religious School expenses as deemed appropriate by the director
Religious School Fund - General operating expenses of the Temple Shalom Religious School
Religious School Scholarship Fund - Scholarships for children to use toward Temple Shalom Religious School
Social Action Fund - Assistance to Jewish individuals in temporary financial difficulty
Tallit Fund - Replacement and repair of tallesim for Temple use.
Torah Fund - Maintenance and/or replacement of the Torahs

Sisterhood Funds

Bereavement Fund - Providing fruit plates and other trays to families of Temple Shalom who have suffered a loss
Flower Fund - Flowers for the Temple bimah on the High Holy Days
Kiddush Fund - Underwrite expense related to Kiddush luncheons
Kitchen Fund - Purchase of equipment for the Temple kitchens
Oneg Fund - Underwrite expense related to Friday night Onegs
Roz White Torah Fund - Sent to the USCJ Torah fund for Rabbinic Scholarships
Youth Scholarship Fund - Scholarships for youth and teens to attend Jewish camps and/or Jewish education and enrichment programs in Israel
YES Fund - Youth, Education and Special projects - a UAHC Fund
